Chicke

Chicke is a brick & mortar baby shop in Rochester, NY with an online presence. Their goal is to provide families with a trustworthy and high quality selection of timeless, reasonably priced, earth friendly alternatives to many common baby and kids products, while also encouraging people to shop small.

For their logo we used a rustic farmhouse font that has an organic feel and a fun, quirky chick to put emphasis on the name. The primary red in the color palette is a nod to a farmhouse to tap into the quaint, small town feel they hope to convey. We found a balance between the geometric patterns (referencing the clothes while also keeping things feeling clean and modern) and the more organically drawn illustration style (where many of the illustrations reference the traditional, timeless toys they carry).
