When it comes to branding your business, color is such an important piece of the puzzle. Unlike your logo, which may only be on the most prominent of your brand’s touch points, your colors will show up on basically everything.
Not only are colors an important way to stand out and create brand recognition, they’re also a crucial way to grow your brand because color influences how people perceive and interact with your brand on both conscious and subconscious levels.
For example, different colors evoke specific emotions and feelings. While green is typically seen as a calming color that represents growth and things in the natural world, orange is a color of energy and enthusiasm. By strategically choosing colors that align with your brand’s values and desired emotional response, you can foster a deeper emotional connection with your audience.
Beyond the emotions and feelings your color palette evokes, color also influence consumer behavior and purchase decisions. Research suggests that people make subconscious judgments about products within the first 90 seconds of seeing them, and surprisingly a huge part of this assessment is based on color.
In my color psychology series, I’m going to hone in on one color at a time so that we can dig deep into what each color signifies and the feelings they may evoke, so that you can strategically decide the best colors for your branding.
Today let’s talk about the color green.
We often associate green with the natural world, which has much to do about the emotions and reactions it evokes when we see it.

Color psychology provides a powerful tool for brands to communicate their identity, evoke desired emotions, influence consumer behavior, and differentiate themselves in the marketplace. By understanding the psychological impact of colors, brands can strategically use them to build stronger connections with their target audience and ultimately grow their business.
